Details
[Edit]This 15-track live album features the second-ever show performed with Robert Plant's band The Sensational Space Shifters, on July 12, 2012, at London's HMV Forum. The album was a surprise, coming soon after the release of a concert film of Plant with his group The Band of Joy, who were supporting their self-titled 2010 album. Musicians appearing here include singer/guitarist Patty Griffin (who was also in The Band of Joy), multi-instrumentalist Juldeh Camara of JuJu, and the guitarists, keyboardist, and bassist of The Strange Sensation, with which Plant recorded the albums Dreamland and Mighty Rearranger. Classic blues such as “Fixin’ to Die” and “Spoonful,” solo Plant tunes like “Tin Pan Valley,” his collaboration on Patty Griffin’s “Ohio,” Griffin’s solo track “Standing,” and classic Zeppelin songs like “Black Dog,” “Friends,” “Bron-Y-Aur-Stomp,” “Whole Lotta Love,” and "Gallows Pole” make this an enjoyably varied set; it shows Plant and Griffin enjoying their relationship and savoring the music it makes.
