Zimbabwe native Rozalla released Everybody's Free in 1992, and subsequently found major club success with the title track, a catchy, cathartic rave anthem that managed to cross over to the Top 40 pop charts. The album, predictably, contains similar sounding tracks like "Are You Ready to Fly" (also a club hit) and "Born to Love You," but Rozalla manages to squeeze in more house-oriented grooves on "Faith (In the Power of Love)" and "Lost in Your Ocean." Rozalla is also capable of performing slower material, as demonstrated on the ballad "Love Breakdown," and the optimistic "Believe in Yourself" rises above the usual let's-party fluff of most dance-oriented releases. Strong tunes and capable vocals make Everybody's Free a solid and consistent debut effort.
