[Edit]Sá & Guarabyra are a duo of singers/composers with a long and successful career in Brazil. With a northeastern origin, their roots are evident in hits like "Sete Marias" and "Sobradinho" (present in this live electric album commemorative of their ten years together). They are proponents of a northern sound mixed with American acoustic folk and romantic pop, being examples of pop artists who knew how to be commercially successful in the pop idiom without abdicating of their artistic sincerity; but it must be said that they built their audiences in times when the industry wasn't as greedy as it is today. The album also has "Caçador de Im" by Sá and Sérgio Magrão, which was a big hit in Milton Nascimento's voice. "Espanhola" (Flávio Venturini/Guarabyra) and "Dona" (Sá/Guarabyra), the last two, are unfortunately much too corny but are extremely successful nevertheless.
