[Edit]Satish Vyas is one of a sizeable number of students who have studied under Shivkumar Sharma. This studio recording made in London in July 1994 features one of his senior students performing "Raga Malkauns" and "Sohni" accompanied by Sukhvinder Singh Namdhari (the tabla player on the Grammy-winning Meeting by the River collaboration by Vishwa Mohan Bhatt and Ry Cooder). A strong performance, well-recorded and a signpost to the strength of Shivkumar Sharma's playing and teaching skills.
