Details
[Edit]From 1961 he branched out, composing, scoring and arranging the soundtracks for his own films. This selection presents tracks from Teen Kanya (Three Daughters) (1961) and Shakespearewallah (1966), to Ganashatru (An Enemy of the People) (1989) and his last completed film, Aguntuk (The Visitor) (1991). Music was indissoluble from film in his overall vision. The booklet notes also reproduce a piece of staff-notated score with delightful parading elephants — he was also a graphic artist and typographer.
