Making heavy metal music for almost 40 years is in itself an amazing accomplishment, and despite founding members Biff Byford and Paul Quinn's somewhat advanced years, Saxon are showing no signs of slowing down. Maintaining the return to popularity that was kick-started by their 2007 album The Inner Sanctum, four more well-received releases later Saxon are now at their 21st studio album. Battering Ram's title track lead single was released in August 2015 and the band again worked with Andy Sneap on production duties.
