[Edit]As an actor, Turner performed alongside Robert Mitchum. He was a roadie for Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreaks. Turner toured with Adam and the Ants and was an original member of The The. The versatile artist also applies his compositional skills to cinema. Several Derek Jarman films contain his scores. This album finds Turner exploring the urgent dancefloor rhythms of techno. Producer Robin Rimbaud (Scanner) co-wrote the material. On Travelcard, compelling beats provide a constant foundation to exotic, zither-like sounds and other angular steps of plucked instruments.
