[Edit]Working with producer Shane Stoneback (F***ed Up, Sleigh Bells), Sean Bones has crafted a second album that expands and refines his sound. The reflective romantic of Rings keeps finding new ways to turn his musings into extroverted, upbeat tunes that flesh out into grand arrangements. "Here Now" is the obvious opener, a tune that grabs listeners with just a few hummable bars. "Gallon Jug" balances between a measured gait and an arrangement that keeps things surprising with each verse's twist. "Wondering" adds a distinct reggae groove and a spooky organ riff. "Bermuda Nothin'" furthers the intrigue with a bouncy groove that floats down the street and onto the beach. "Tell Me Again" sports a psychedelic drone and hand percussion for what feels like a dream sequence. "Black Gold" evokes a summer feeling with another distinct reggae/Caribbean rhythm folding into a sweet, cathartic chorus. Bones obscures his voice behind the reverb, making it just another melodic instrument in the mix.
