[Edit]The Sequence's second album contains all of the same funky, soulful grooves they busted on Sugar Hill Presents the Sequence. It's almost an even split between the ballads and hip-hop numbers: "I Don't Need Your Love," a wailing beauty, pulled up lame at number 40 on Billboards' R&B chart in May of 1982, a poor showing for one of their best performances; "Love Changes," led by Angie B, is seven plus minutes of gut-wrenching soul searching; "Unaddressed Letter" is an unexpected piece of traditional soul that works like a charm; James Brown's "Cold Sweat" gets a makeover and a new feel; and finally, "Funk That (You Mothers)" and "Get It Together" are hip-hoppers accented with hot raps.
