[Edit]Not as edgy as the work of his former band the Clears, Cloud Wow Music employs a more ethereal take on '80s synth pop, with Bryant's delicately high-pitched late-'60s psychedelia-style vocals providing the forefront for these celestial pinings. A certain melodic aptitude, coupled with slick production by Steve Shelley (Cat Power, Sonic Youth), assists in reining in the unabashed spaciness that permeates this song cycle.
