[Edit]Australian songbird Sherrie Austin, someone who's previously graced the Top Ten and made it to the mainstream with her pop-sounding music and vocals, has made a complete turnaround with Followin' a Feelin'. Tradition abounds on this surprisingly impressive ten-track collection. Not since Olivia Newton-John has an Australian made such an impact on country music, and that's what Austin does with this album. There's something to be said for creative freedom when there are no music industry influences, no label approvals, and no radio limitations. Austin sounds liberated, confident, and energized. She's evolved into an exceptionally strong songwriter, having written or co-written nine of the album's ten virtually flawless tracks. The tenth is Dolly Parton's classic "Jolene," which Austin gives her own spin. Other cool notables include the sultry-sounding "Goin', Goin', Gone" and the very likable bluesy "Something Missin' in the Kissin.'"
