Her resplendent range on three self-penned compositions and seven songs from several well-known composers illustrate the reasons she is destined for stardom. Fresh from the success of her debut, Do It for Love, the lovely Winston bares her soulful, high-spirited tunes on both orchestral and alto flute and is accompanied once again by guitarist Eric Gale. Keeping the love theme intact, Winston and her guests continue their excellence with great styling from tenor and soprano saxophonist Kirk Whalum on "Romance Tonight" and pleasing piano grace from Tony James on "A Valentine for You." Sherry Winston's elaborate but sensitive melodic flute inventions provide the listener with varied tempos, harmonies, and her genuine passion, and with this ensemble, the dramatic interest is sustained to the end.
