Details

[Edit]

This Essential anthology was originally released to coincide with the duo’s 2003 reunion tour, and it continues to serve as the middle ground between a cursory greatest-hits collection and a full-bore complete collection. Simon & Garfunkel recorded just five studio albums during their career, but they had 16 Top 100 hit singles, from “The Sound of Silence” through to their 1975 reunion hit “My Little Town.” They’re all here, along with many audience favorites such as “Kathy’s Song” and “The Only Living Boy in New York,” several featured here in live performances that were issued after the duo’s first go-round.
