Details
[Edit]This odd pairing of early-'60s albums from these two traditional country artists on the edge of rock & roll takes 1962's collaborative effort Sing Duets and pairs it with Skeeter Davis' mellower 1960 album Here's the Answer, which features guest vocals from a host of singers other than just Porter Wagoner. While the loungy orchestral pop sound of Sing Duets finds the two singers in a state of camaraderie that is by turns touching or lightheartedly romantic, Here's the Answer feels mismatched and tacked on, with much slower and heartbroken songs featuring guest vocals from country staples like Jim Reeves and Bobby Bare.
