A Breath Between Battles

It's probably a pretty safe bet to say that if you went through the music collections of the members of Sleeping By The Riverside, you'd most likely find some titles from Strongarm, Stretch Arm Strong, and maybe even Shai Hulud, as all have obviously been influences of the Florida-based band. Groups such as Stretch Arm Strong seem to share the same passionate melodic hardcore style, and a group such as Strongarm certainly shares their Christian message. The tone of the guitars and the vocals which seem to be screaming concern and sincerity in each verse are definitely endearing. And the booklet for the CD will keep the listener entertained. Unfortunately, for the most part, as much as their sound is similar to other acts, it also means it's largely unoriginal. Thus, many fans outside of the genre could do just as well with another artist, but fans of melodic hardcore will certainly welcome Breath Between Battle.
