[Edit]

This compilation of a decade's worth of live and radio transcription tracks comes from the collection of Harry "The Hipster" Gibson, who participates as a host for most of these sides. Along with Slim Gaillard is Slam Stewart, and other guest appearances include Frank Sinatra (no mistake), Bam Brown, and Leo Watson. The numerous versions of tunes cut live on the radio or in performance make this a collector's-only set, but those interested in the "McVouty" one will find the sound quality to be more than tolerable or presentable. As a label, Hep does it again.
