Details
[Edit]Despite a pretty weak name, Snacks actually puts together a unique take on music hall, Bonzo Dog Band weirdness, and '70s radio pop. On The Cinnamon Show, Kevin Wiggins (aka Mysterious K) and John "Cutty Mac" Richardson craft a classic take on pop/rock, ranging from white boy R&B ("The Boys Don't Care") to early Billy Joel piano rock ("Miracle Child") to trippy, retro synth rock ("Overtime"). It hardly seems contemporary — Snacks would fit in much better in an arena in the late '70s opening for, say, Fleetwood Mac — but their love of the Beatles and oddball independence make Snacks a solid, if quirky, band in the spirit of ELO.
