Details
[Edit]This compilation collects most of Spike Jones' greatest hits during his RCA years. The chaos begins with Carl Grayson singing "Cocktails for Two" very straight, segueing into the cacophony of auto horns and various custom designed percussion instruments that were an important part of the band. Other gems include "Der Fuehrer's Face," Doodles Weaver's famous horse race in the middle of the "William Tell Overture," and guest vocalist Paul Frees (the man of a thousand voices, including the original Pillsbury Doughboy) in a sizzling take of "My Old Flame." This music is still a riot after over a half century!
