[Edit]Speicher 21 features a pair of relative outsiders who are nonetheless connected to Kompakt. On the A-side, Hannes Teichmann (as Ha.te) remixes the lead track from Steve Bug's Sensual album and transforms it into something of a late-'80s Chicago house throwback — tripping kick drums, blurps of truncated keyboard notes, unexpected breakdowns, the works. "Nippon Jungle," from the Ware label's Mathias Schaffhäuser (who's been relatively quiet during 2004), is a functional acid techno track that snarls with heat-seeking exactness. It's not an entirely forgettable part of the series, though it does seem insubstantial when compared to Speicher 19 and 20.
