StSanders is Santeri Ojala, an Internet practical joker who overdubs purposefully horrible guitar solos on videos of such six-string luminaries as Steve Vai, Eric Clapton, Angus Young, Carlos Santana, Eddie Van Halen, Slash, and Yngwie Malmsteen, making for sidesplitting results. After his videos went viral, no band was safe from StSanders’ overdubbing; he presented other poorly played instruments and even some of the most atrocious singing ever recorded while lampooning legendary bands like The Rolling Stones and KISS. One KISS parody (bastardized country & western by way of Eastern European–inspired polka) was even covered in its horrendous entirety by Weezer, replete with its whistle solo (StSanders used KISS members’ pouting as an opportunity to make it look like they’re partial to whistle solos). With this collection you get the best audio versions of StSanders’ parodies; you’ll have to visit his website for the accompanying video footage.
