[Edit]For their sophomore album, Santacruz, rising Spanish indie pop band Supersubmarina add a new member, Javier Serrano, on keyboards and vocals, and call upon the services of renowned Scottish producer and engineer Tony Doogan (Belle & Sebastian, Mogwai, the Delgados, among many others). Unsurprisingly, this gives their dark electric uptempo numbers and intense ballads a fuller and more polished sound, but at the same time they never stray too far from, or significantly improve on, the template of their debut.
