[Edit]This norteño group's first U.S. release makes the most of 18-year-old Priscila's tomboyishly sincere vocals on youth-oriented tracks such as "Paco El Guapo." Although Priscila is a female accordionist in a male-dominated genre, she resists the temptation to prove her mettle by riffing, focusing instead on hooks. "Sin Cambiar" ("Without Changing") a cumbia take on 4 Non Blondes' "What's Going On," is not as incongruous as it may seem — the original was a favorite at Monterrey's bustling nightclubs, and Priscila sounds like she's having a ball belting out the anthemic chorus. Her producer and father Tirzo Paiz provides ear candy by seamlessly weaving country twang and early '60s dance-craze blues into the cumbias "Busco Novio" and "Ya Volvió El Twist" ("The Twist Is Back"), both of which were composed by Priscila.
