[Edit]Featuring a pre-adult contemporary Bryan Duncan on vocals, Sweet Comfort Band were the Christian alternative to the album rock scene that bred artists like Boston and Styx in the mid-'70s. The sound is a lush blend of smooth keyboards, light songwriting, and a friendly approach that gives the whole album the feeling that the musicians playing on the album are quite amiable. Their nice-guy demeanor does sacrifice much of the passion and energy the material might have garnered from a more serious approach, but it also presents a much friendlier version of this kind of music. Most will probably find this a little too dated to pay much attention to, but fans of this era may want to get this as a Christian alternative to the other, mostly secular options that are still in print from this time.
