[Edit]This is an excellent album by the great singer Taiguara. More known for his romantic hits, in his latest album (he would precociously die two years after) he explores the afro tradition in Brazil, as the title indicates. This extremely well-produced album was recorded in Cuba with an excellent Cuban support band and the remarkable Brazilian musicians Raul de Souza, Paulinho Trompete, Macaé, Luiz Alves, Robertinho Silva, Rafael Rabello, Nivaldo Ornellas, Cristina Braga, and others. He visits some of his old hits, but the emphasis is on new samba compositions.
