Details
[Edit]It has been written and spoken frequently that Enya "is as close to the perfect vocalist as there has ever been." it might not have been those exact words but the sentiment has been expressed. After the success and wonderful magic of Orinoco Flow, it is a mystery why Charles Sayre chose to add vocals for Maiden of the Mysteries: The Music of Enya. The Taliesin Orchestra is the perfect ensemble for performing the music. Alfreda Gerald and Felicia Sorensen have wonderful voices. Enya has written brilliant lyrics and music (and she performed them perfectly). Unfortunately, they all suffer here. There are some pieces on the disc with no vocals. They are excellent tracks. This CD suffers in comparison to the source material and to its predecessor. Listeners will be better with the originals.
