Details
[Edit]Good old-fashioned heavy metal, played and sung by manly men (with no opera vocal acrobatics, but with a dash of guitar heroics) — that's a fitting description of the 2008 release by Tearabyte, Doom Generation. Mighty riffing, growled vocals, and song titles that sound like Spinal Tap rejects ("Screaming Pig F****r from Hell," "Shut-Up Bitch," etc.) — it's all here folks. Another fitting description of the proceedings here would be '80s thrash metal without all the constant guitar chug-chugging rhythm, as evidenced by such tracks as "Dark One," the title track, and "Ghastly Friend." If vintage straight-ahead metal is your forte (and the sound of a metal band letting it rip without the aid of ProTools — something that has become a rarity in the oh-so musically perfect early 21st century), then you should certainly give Tearabyte's Doom Generation a try.
