The sextet's debut album is a mixed bag of sub-New Christy Minstrels folk revival numbers, done in the same manner as the Christys: the soloists alternate with the group vocals, and the group tries to be folksy almost to a fault. Randy Sparks did most of the songwriting and was trying hard to come up with something along the lines of "Green, Green," as is evident listening to "Silver Dollar" and "Long Time Ago." This group's version of "The Far Side of the Hill" is probably the best single track on the album. The cover depicts a group so dorkily cheerful that they make the Christys look like the Jefferson Airplane, and the whole album seems a little contrived. The makers may have said more than they meant to when they included the blurb, "An exciting new PRODUCT from the makers of the New Christy Minstrels," but the talents of the individuals manage to come through. The sound has the same bright acoustic of the Christys' releases of this era.
