[Edit]Though its bland packaging and generic title would lead you to believe otherwise, this is actually a re-release of the Band's 1998 River North album, Jubilation. The track order has been altered and the cover art removed in favor of Intersound's budget-line Original Artist Hit List template, but the music is the same. That said, it's pretty enjoyable, since the line on Jubilation (as well as the Band's two other '90s comeback albums) was that's it was pretty good for a bunch of old guys. "Last Train to Memphis" is a standout rave-up, while the gorgeous "Book Faded Brown" features tasteful accordion and vintage Band harmonies. All of this makes this set a terrific budget purchase. But since it's the same thing as the Band's own release, isn't it a better idea to spend a few extra dollars for the River North version, which includes the original artwork and liner notes? [Note: the Intersound reissue includes Jubilation's guest shots from John Hiatt and Eric Clapton.]
