Details
[Edit]Mid-'60s sessions matching the Bill Evans trio with a large orchestra arranged and conducted by Claus Ogerman. The strings provide a nice backdrop, but are otherwise inconsequential. Evans and bassist Chuck Israel are outstanding, with Evans' piano treatments of both classical and jazz material exceptional. Drummer Larry Bunker holds things together as the lone percussive element.
