Details
[Edit]Paul Barrere's bluesy vocals will be familiar to Little Feat fans, and to a lesser extent T Lavitz's keyboard textures and Freebo's propulsive bass playing will strike chords with fans of The Dixie Dregs and Bonnie Raitt. Catfish Hodge is a less familiar vocal presence, but he has the same sort of whisky voice, and when you add in Larry Zack's drums, you have a band very much in the Southern/New Orleans tradition of the members' antecedents. There's no Lowell George (Little Feat) to write brilliant songs, and no Steve Morse (Dixie Dregs) to provide pyrotechnics on guitar, but the playing is solid and the songs are celebrations of "cookin'" and "fishin'" and "movin' to the country" on the "dixie highway" so you can live "down on the farm."
