Details
[Edit]The only thing this Melbourne group has in common with late AC/DC singer Bon Scott is that both are Australian. Singer Robert Zimmerman (uh huh!) and his merry pranksters posit an almost mock twee folk on a debut LP that sounds so childlike silly-fun, and clattering, you expect Peanuts' Schroeder to jam on his toy piano and Snoopy to start dancing. It's often too clever by half, as is Zimmerman's nonstop lyrical wordplay, but he makes great sport of modern band membership, hitting home with zingers like, "They played our song on a television commercial/And I felt indescribable." It's hard to imagine jovial frippery like "We Like War" or "Hells Bells and Chattels" (oh no, another AC/DC allusion!) following Feist onto an Apple commercial. ~ Jack Rabid, The Big Takeover, Rovi
