[Edit]Propelled by the lithe touch of new drummer Justin Faulkner, Marsalis’ freewheeling quartet moves through a number of moods between the playful opening salvo of pianist Joey Calderazzo on "The Mighty Sword" to the assertive closing ballad, “My Ideal.” Through it all, the record is satisfying because it stays focused on the fluid group dynamic and eloquent soloing.
