Details

[Edit]

From their founding in 1998 to the release of this album in 2003, the Casket Lottery have recorded over 50 songs, including many that have appeared on 7" records and compilations. Possiblies and Maybes takes those rare, elusive tracks and combines them onto one compact disc, along with six additional tracks that are entirely new. The songs, both new and old, showcase the traditional Casket Lottery sound, meaning that there is a good range of poppy tunes combined with some more abrasive guitar numbers. All, however, fall within the emo genre one way or the other. With thoughtful lyrics and endearing vocals, this Kansas City three-piece can easily work its songs into the minds of fans anywhere. In many ways, this album serves as not only a great introduction for those unfamiliar with the band, but also perhaps the only necessary purchase for those who find themselves to be casual fans.
