Details
[Edit]Drawn from a variety of albums released by the Dubliners and the Clancy Brothers with and without Tommy Makem, this compilation celebrates the mix of the Irish and their booze in its various different guises. Wisely, the compilers selected the Dubliners' version of "Whisky in the Jar," opening the set effectively. The lion's share of the collection goes to the Clancy Brothers, however, with their upmarket and often jollied-up performances — the Dubliners, in comparison, are a rough and gruff lot. Entertaining, if your capacity for Irish drinking songs isn't limited.
