This set is essentially the same as the Contours' first (and only) regular album release for Motown Records, although it actually appeared on a Motown imprint called Gordy Records. It featured the group's biggest-ever hit, the Berry Gordy-penned "Do You Love Me," as well as sharp tracks like "Shake Sherrie" and its flipside "You Better Get in Line," but the balance of the album lacked much identity, mostly because Motown wasn't quite yet the hitmaking label it would soon become. This set has the heart of the 1962 album included, while some of the original tracks have been switched out for others from the same time period, but the overall feel and tone remain the same., Rovi
