[Edit]A really wacky soundtrack for what looks like a really under-produced Canadian sci-fi movie. The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets produce this odd array of quirky rock. Although fitting for a film that relies mostly on cardboard backgrounds, computer-generated aliens, and secondhand costumes — all intended for said film to fall into the "so bad it's good" category — the Darkest of the Hillside Thickets churn out a nerdy hybrid of They Might Be Giants — minus the clever humor — and an occasional Man or Astroman? — minus the hi-tech surf. Perfectly suitable for said film and Dr. Who fans, but that's as far as the appeal of sci-fi alternative rock could stretch.
