[Edit]The core of the Ford Blues Band is a quartet featuring drummer/singer Patrick Ford (Robben's brother), guitarist/singer Volker Strifler, bassist Dewayne Pate, and harpist/vocalist Andy Just. For this project, a horn section and keyboards are added with one appearance apiece by Mark and Gabriel Ford. The music is always blues-based even when it is soul, R&B-ish, an easy-to-take lecture on the blues ("One Man's Opinion"), and one song reminiscent of retro-swing. Although none of the players are individual virtuosos or innovators, the Ford Blues Band puts on a program full of variety, sincere feelings, and solid, danceable blues. Another Fine Day is an excellent example of their playing.
