Details
[Edit]"Arguably the two best Roc-A-Fella affiliates not named Jay-Z, Philadelphia MCs Beanie Sigel and Freeway have weathered a seemingly never-ending supply of label drama, industry beefs, and police intervention, and despite the overwhelming odds against them, they're still going strong. Though they've worked together on numerous projects in the past, The Roc Boys is their first official release as a duo, with multiple assists from longtime co-conspirators Young Gunz, State Property, and Jakk Frost. Despite being put out on a small indie label, and produced by obscure beatmakers (The Batkave, Main Event West, Isiah Salazar), there's still some substantial heat on here, especially for fans of relentlessly hardcore east coast street rap. Be sure to peep the dramatic bravado of ""The Last Two,"" the throwback funk swing of ""Live In Effect,"" and the Jiggaman diss track ""Average Cat.""
