[Edit]Released in 1988, the Frogs' self-titled debut is basically pure power pop, largely without the bizarre humor that made them an indie favorite. It's still quirky, though, and fans who go in without expecting to find another "Hot Cock Annie" will likely be pleased with what they find. The 1999 reissue on Jim O'Rourke's Moikai label features liner notes by Steve Albini.
