[Edit]Detroit's the High Strung began their road-warrior tenure of extensive touring and recording in 2000 when most of the band was living in Brooklyn. Before their landmark album These Are Good Times dropped in 2003, the band had a series of self-released, self-recorded EPs that were only available for a time at their numerous shows. Originally released in 2002, Sure as Hell collects five tracks of the band's early compositions. Recorded entirely on 1/2" analog tape, this second EP in the series captures the band at their warmest and most indebted to the post-Beatles power pop of the '70s.
