This trio of former Tchort members wastes little time citing a myriad of influences. The hard rock '70s metal sound oozing from "Lemmy Know" is mixed with a bit of Led Zeppelin and '60s garage rock. Guitarist and lead singer Les Godfrey shines easily on this winding toe-tapper. Moving seamlessly into "Salon Kitty," this number has more of a Southern rock charm to it along the lines of ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd; a few wails and howls don't detract from the fine musicianship here. One strong point is the turn each song takes, changing tempo without diminishing the result. A Black Sabbath arrangement greets "Wingspan," although it rarely hits on all cylinders. But the galloping boogie starting "On My Way Back Home Again" is probably the defining piece on this EP, a rowdy and hell-raising tune that is a fusion of rock, progressive rock, and hillbilly. "All the Time in the World" resembles something Bachman-Turner Overdrive might have made, and is a tune that seems perfect for summer driving. Only "Absinthe Makes the Heart" sounds mildly pop-rock oriented. This group refuses to escape its enjoyable and contemporary '70s rock time warp.
