[Edit]These Dubliners presented a new take on Celtic soul music with their 2008 eponymous debut and followed it with 2011’s Science & Faith. Both albums spawned monster hits that radiated a joyous spirit despite being woven with minor-chord melancholy. While the three-piece uses the same mixture of guitar, bass, and drums that populate any number of rock bands, The Script is equally indebted to hip-hop and R&B. For its aptly titled third full-length, #3, the gentlemen worked with will.i.am on the lead single, “Hall of Fame”—it’s among the most uplifting and inspiring tracks in The Script’s catalog and is perfect fodder to fuel your next workout.
