Traveling to Nashville to produce Brave, Bedfordshire/Hertfordshire pair Crissie Rhodes and Ben Earle pack plenty of authentic Americana into their debut. “Nashville Grey Skies” pays homage with its slide guitar, “State Lines” namechecks the Mason-Dixon Line, and there’s a homey reworking of Kenny & Dolly’s classic “Islands in the Stream.” The tender, delicate love songs (“I Just Wanna Love You,” “Brave”) and playful pop tracks (“All Over Again,” “Friday Night”) ensure this one wide appeal.
