[Edit]The Skandalous All-Stars include members of the NYC ska aristocracy, including Vic Ruggiero and Marcus Geard of the Slackers, Brendog and Greg Robinson of Mephiskapheles, and Doug Dubrosky of Ruder Than You. On this butt-shaking and hilarious album, they perform reggae and ska (but mostly reggae) versions of punk rock classics from the 1970s and 1980s — everything from the Sex Pistols' "Anarchy in the UK" to the Clash's "Rock the Casbah." Not only is the idea a complete hoot, but the reggae settings they conjure up for these old chestnuts are unfailingly perfect. Part joke, part heartfelt tribute and part plain, straightforward skank-fest, this album is a must for your next party and a necessity for every playlist.
