[Edit]A second LP from these Austin one girl/four guys retro rockers. Although ostensibly still a garage act — the title track and others sound like the Standells of "Good Guys Don't Wear White," "Light Comes On" is a little like the Sonics, and several vocals remind of the Yardbirds' Keith Relf — they've toned it down a bit, into more Beau Brummels hard jangle pop territory, 1965-style. They all sing, they all jam pretty well, and the whole LP puts one back in that rather great period about a year after Meet the Beatles. It was when that band themselves were doing the more rootsy Beatles for Sale (Beatles 1965), and when American youth bands were putting some Kingston Trio, Link Wray, and Everly Brothers into their favorite British Invasion sounds. Covers of the Ventures, Nikki Corvette, and Boston's Remains complete the picture, dig?
