A 1960s blue-eyed soul, pop, and garage band out of Louisiana, the Uniques (not to be confused with the Jamaican vocal group bearing the same name) were led by the vocal and keyboard talents of future country star Joe Stampley. Although the band's sound was a Southern-flavored pop and R&B blend, they are chiefly remembered, at least by garage band collectors, for the stomping "You Ain't Tuff," a track that was hardly typical for the group. This set collects 15 of the band's tracks, including "You Ain't Tuff."
