Violin, viola, and cello interpret AFI's brand of punk-pop for this entry in Vitamin's String Quartet Tribute series. "I Wanna Mohawk" draws from the band's 1995 debut Answer That & Stay Fashionable and "I Wanna Get a Mohawk [But Mom Won't Let Me Get One]," though its string-laden churn is pretty far from the blustery hardcore of the original. The surging melodies of later AFI material like "Girls Not Grey" are more effective here. "This Celluloid Dream" and "Leaving Song, Pt. 2" are also highlights, but String Quartet Tribute to AFI is definitely more of a niche buy for the group's fan base.
