Michael and Dyann Woody are touted as a male/female Everly Brothers duo for the '90s on this, their debut disc. While the Everly comparison is inevitable (as it is for almost any singing duo that's come in their wake), there is something undeniable and substantial when this husband-and-wife twosome wrap their voices around one of Michael's tunes. Woody has been one of Nashville's most prolific writers for a number of years, and his writing fuels the majority of numbers on this disc, with "Mama and Them," "Second Wind" and "Habits of the Heart" being particular standouts. A promising debut that one can only hope leads to more recordings for this duo.
