[Edit]Compiled from four years of releases on labels like Eggy Records, Gnar Tapes 'n S**t, and Apes Tapes, Dog Years captures the scruffy, lo-fi energy of the Portland trio in 12 short blasts of sparse, Wipers-inspired basement indie rock. While the fidelity of most of the songs is on the ragged side, the quality of the songwriting is always top-notch, and the performances are live wire enough to overcome any sound issues. Fans of the Woolen Men's excellent first album who don't already have all their singles and cassettes, will definitely want to add this well-chosen compilation to their collection.
