The collaboration between Detroit's Theorem and London's Swayzak results in a wonderful middle ground between Theorem's style of down-tempo techno, bordering often on dub or ambient techno, and Swayzak's style of moderately paced house, associated often with a sedate or tranquil edge. The side of the record featuring "Bad Hair Day" stays in the spirit of Swayzak's house tendencies, integrating a steady sense of 4/4 rhythm and a cheery piano-style riff. Conversely, the other side of the record featuring "Break in at Apartment 205" sounds quite similar to Theorem's previous records and his partner Richie Hawtin's Consumed album. The song places a great degree of its emphasis on sweeping synth washes and a Roland 303-style melody that sounds like a futuristic acid line. Overall, this record sounds a bit divided and not entirely true to one style but does stay true to the two individual styles of the artists, who sound surprisingly complementary alongside one another.
